Performance

The RAV4 comes with a powerful 203-horsepower 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Although front-wheel drive is standard, some models are now available with all-wheel drive setups.

The Toyota RAV4 Prime draws its power from a plug-in hybrid engine that pairs a four-cylinder engine with an electric motor to produce 302 horsepower. A continuously variable automatic (CVT) is standard.

Last, the RAV4 Hybrid has a 2.5-liter four-cylinder that is helped by two electric motors to make 219 horsepower. It has a standard all-wheel drive and a CVT.

With up to 8.6 inches of ground clearance and available features like a front skid plate and hill descent control, your RAV4 is more than capable of tackling some light off-roading. Plus, the TRD Off-Road model boasts unique suspension tuning for even more adventurous driving.

Interior Design

The RAV4's interior is spacious and well-designed, with plenty of storage space for all your belongings. The five seats are comfortable and offer excellent, making long journeys much more enjoyable. The driver has good visibility, and the cabin feels airy. Front- and Rear-seat legroom is more than ample, allowing all occupants enough room to stretch out and relax comfortably.

Technology

The RAV4 has a standard 7-inch touch-screen infotainment system, with an 8-inch touchscreen being optional. All trim levels come with standard Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ smartphone connectivity. Optional features include a JBL® premium audio system, wireless charging and navigation. If you opt for a trim level without nav, don't worry. All other models are equipped with Scout GPS Link, which allows compatible smartphones project a map on the infotainment screen.

Safety Features

The RAV4 comes standard with Toyota Safety Sense™ 2.0, which includes lane departure warning, automatic high beams and adaptive cruise control. The RAV4 also has a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection and eight airbags, making it the ideal family SUV for Buellton drivers.

Trim Levels

The RAV4 is available in six trim levels: LE, XLE, XLE Premium, Adventure, Limited, and TRD Off-Road. The LE is the most basic model. It comes with cloth upholstery, a four-way manually adjustable passenger seat, a six-way manually adjustable driver's seat and single-zone manual climate control.

The next step up is the XLE, which features heated outside mirrors, fog lights, proximity keyless entry, an eight-way power-adjustable driver's seat and dual-zone automatic climate control. The XLE Premium has much more to offer. It comes with synthetic leather upholstery, a moonroof and a power liftgate.

Toyota RAV4 Adventure features a 7-inch digital instrument cluster display, hill descent control and a household-style power outlet. Next, the TRD Off-Road is designed for exploring the outdoors of Santa Barbara. It comes with a TRD-tuned suspension and an off-road front skid plate. Surround-view parking camera system and navigation are also available as options.

The RAV4 Limited sits gloriously at the top of the range and is well-laced with a wide array of comfort and convenience features. It comes standard with heated front seats, ambient interior lighting, and a premium 11-speaker JBL® audio system. In addition, heated rear seats and a panoramic roof are available options.
